This edition examines recent Russia-Iran relations. Firstly, Nikolay Kozhanov notes that currently both Moscow and Tehran are motivated to develop their relationship, but there remains a lot of work to do to establish long-term collaboration. Secondly, Mark N. Katz outlines how predictions that the Iranian nuclear accord would lead Tehran to de-emphasize its ties with Moscow have proven false, as lingering differences between Russia and Iran do not seem strong enough to derail their increased cooperation.
