The Peace Research Institute Frankfurt is to date the largest as well as the oldest peace research institute in Germany. PRIF's work is directed toward identifying the causes of violent international and internal conflicts, carrying out research into the conditions necessary for peace and spreading the concepts of peace. The Working Papers are published at varying intervals in German/English and are only available electronically for download. This uncomplicated publication mode allows an insight into current basic research, puts up drafts concerning central research issues for discussion and stimulates scientific exchange and information.
